The quartet has developed a strong following through more than 600 live shows over 12 years across the Midwest and beyond\, celebrated for performances that often sound more like a rock show than a traditional string-band act. \n\n\n\n Gin Mill Hollow began as an acoustic duo featuring childhood friends Dan Plourde and Mark Norman\, who connected for a last-minute gig at the Up North Bar in Madison\, a venue that became their early home base for honing their sound. The group expanded into a trio with the addition of mandolinist Joshua “Juice” Giudice\, eventually becoming a four-piece band with the addition of drummer/percussionist Joe Murray. The band is fresh off the release of their third studio album\, “A Fool’s Dream\,” and will be promoting it throughout the year at numerous festival appearances including Blue Ox Music Festival and Mile of Music.

Songs are sung with an old-time swagger\, harmonies included. \nThem Coulee Boys: Soren Staff and Beau Janke – co-founders of folk/rock/Americana outfit Them Coulee Boys – met as camp counselors in northern Wisconsin in 2011. Their weekend workshopping of Avett Brothers and classic country tunes led to original songs and adding Soren’s brother Jens on mandolin. As the years grew\, the band turned into a more rollicking outfit\, adding Neil Krause on electric bass and Stas Hable on drums. The band’s name is a nod to the glacial melt-carved river valleys they call home\, known by early French fur trappers as coulees. Known for wild swings of emotion during sets\, it is not unusual to see fans in tears and minutes later dancing with abandon. The honesty and ability to talk and sing about the feelings and emotions that shape them has endeared them to a growing group of fans and friends With four full-length albums and an EP behind them\, including 2019’s Die Happy (produced byTrampled By Turtles’ Dave Simonett on Lo-Hi Records) and 2021’s Namesake (produced by Grammy winner Brian Joseph)\, the band has garnered international attention and earned press in American Songwriter\, Ditty TV\, Folk Alley\, and The Bluegrass Situation\, as well as tours with Trampled By Turtles\, Los Lobos\, Old Crow Medicine Show and a spot on the songwriter’s Cayamo Cruise. \nArmchair Boogie: Jamgrass\, newgrass\, funkgrass\, whatever you want to call it— Armchair Boogie is rapidly becoming one of the country’s hottest acts. DESCRIPTION:Come share in the groove with Phun at Seven Acre.Doors: 4PM. Show Starts: 5PM: Tickets: $10 pre-sale. $15 day of About Phun: The music of Phish is unique in the space of popular music. Guitarist and Vocalist Mike Scieszinski founded PHUN in 2009. Fourteen years later\, the band is still Sharin’ in the Groove!The band has a colorful and extensive musical Phish-story. In 2014 the band created a touring production of the Phish Musical Gamehendge (The Man who Stepped into Yesterday). They host an Annual holiday event in Madison called Hippy X-mas\, and each year wear a “Musical Costume” and tribute a different band (that isn’t Phish). Past performances have included the music of Pink Floyd\, Grateful Dead\, Prince\, Tom Petty\, David Bowe and Widespread Panic. The band first appeared at Summerfest in 2019\, opening for Dead Tribute Veterans Dark Star Orchestra at the BMO Pavilion\, and returned to that stage for Summerfest 2022. In 202\,3 the band shared the Miller Lite Oasis stage with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. The band is a regular performer at High Noon Saloon in Madison and Shank Hall in Milwaukee.

DESCRIPTION:Learn More about John Primer in our Artist Spotlight Series \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPerformed with Junior Wells\, Willie Dixon\, Muddy Waters and Magic Slim before launching an award-winning career as a front man.\n\n\nhttps://www.johnprimerblues.com/ \nJohn Primer\, born on March 5\, 1945\, in Camden\, Mississippi\, is a legendary American blues guitarist and singer\, recognized for his contributions to traditional blues. Raised on the Mansell Plantation where his grandmother was a sharecropper\, Primer’s early exposure to blues came through hearing it sung by his family while working in the fields. At the age of 18\, he migrated to Chicago with his mother\, they were in search of a better life. John was looking to join the blues scene and was told to go to Maxwell Street on Sundays. This is where he got his start\, playing for tips on the corner. Soon his talent was noticed and he was told to go down to Theresa’s Lounge\, a famous juke joint on Chicago’s south side to audition for the Junior Wells band. This is where he played for the next seven years\, seven nights a week\, learning from all the greats! \nIn the late 1970s\, Primer’s career took a significant leap when he joined Willie Dixon’s All-Star Band\, a key figure in Chicago blues. This opportunity allowed him to get noticed by Muddy Waters’ in the early 1980s. He joined Muddy’s band playing rhythm guitar and soaking in the rich legacy of Waters’ music. After Muddy Waters’ passing\, Primer joined forces with Magic Slim and the Teardrops\, where he played for over a decade\, opening up the show all over the world. \nJohn Primer’s solo career began in 1995\, marked by the release of his Atlantic Records album “The Real Deal”. John has been recorded on more than one hundred recordings. In 2008 he created his own independent record label\, Blues House Productions. John was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2023\, earned three Grammy nominations as well as many Blues Music Awards. Known for his powerful voice and exceptional guitar work\, Primer continues to keep the blues traditions alive\, through his playing\, his teaching and inspiring a new generation.
