Bus Trip to the 2023 Chicago Blues Fest

Greetings Blues Fans,
Our bus trip to the Chicago Blues Festival on Saturday, June 10 is shaping up. We hope you’re feeling some FOMO (fear of missing out) about this opportunity!

The Day’s Schedule

8:45 AM: Bus is onsite at our starting point, Dutch Mill Park and Ride, Madison 53716
(parking at Dutch mill can be sparse, so be sure to leave plenty of time. You can park across the street in the neighborhood, too, but you’ll have to walk a block or so.)

9:00 AM: Depart from Dutch Mill Park and Ride
10:20 AM: Pick up riders from the Rockford, IL area at Walmart Parking Lot 7219 Walton St.
11:32 AM: Arrive at Millennium Park, Chicago

Admission to the festival is free.

10:20 PM: Depart from Millennium Park
11:45 PM: Drop off Rockford riders at Walmart on Walton St.
12:51 AM: Arrive at Dutch Mill Park and Ride, Madison 53716

Why This is the Best Way to get to the Festival

- - Parking!
  - Cost of parking (MBS is picking up the cost of bus parking in downtown Chicago!)
  - Not walking to/from parking!
  - Home instead of a hotel.
  - Enjoying a beer or two!
  - Being among people you know.
  - And the biggest benefit? YOU DON’T HAVE TO DRIVE IN CHICAGO!

Cost & Cancellation Policy

The cost of the trip is $50/person, which includes a tip for the driver.
*** No refunds will be given unless the Madison Blues Society cancels the trip, in which case your $50 will be refunded. ***
MBS will cancel the trip on May 26 if fewer than 40 riders are registered. If a rider registers but cannot make it on June 10, he/she may transfer that registration to another Blues fan.

Bus Rules

No smoking, kegs, or glass is allowed on the bus.
Beverages are allowed in plastic or cans only.
The restroom is not available while the bus is parked.
After we are dropped off at the Festival, the bus will be locked until the end of the event.

Festival Rules

Bags are subject to search at the security perimeter
Guests ARE ALLOWED to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages to Millennium Park.
Guest are NOT ALLOWED to bring in outside alcohol.
Alcohol can only be consumed inside the Park at Casa Bonita Mexican Restaurant and in Millennium Hall.
