We are a friendly, open organization that attends, hosts and supports live blues music in & around Madison. And we are looking for you! to get the job done! We need help this summer for specific events *yet we always welcome new friends sharing good times with volunteers and members like you!
Summer 2026 Volunteer Projects
1. End of Summer Blues Event (Sept/Oct): planning, hosting, etc.
2. Join us every other Monday at COPA and every Thursday at Bernell’s where the MBS Table “Memberships & More” allows us to answer questions, handout lists of upcoming events, give free CDs to new members, and offer merchandise for purchase — coffee mugs ($15), pens ($5), t-shirts ($10) and more…
3. Support MBS Board with meetings and project management!
Longer Term Volunteer Opportunities
Anything from one‑time event help to joining a committee for an ongoing effort. You could even join the board and really make a difference!
- Help with our new fundraising initiative
- Social Media, Website Postings, & Many More Creative projects!
- Spearhead “Learnin’ about the blues…’ – Schools, Community Centers, Libraries, etc.
- Madison Blues Artists Compilation CD
- Membership Support (assist, increase & track)
- Write Newsletter articles and/ create cool graphics! (edit/do graphics)
- Help our communications gal, Lisa, with archiving, indexing and using MBS photos, articles, promotional materials, event summaries, and more…
- Host social events
- Join road trip/cruises, etc.
- Join our Board of Directors
- Be a special guest for our next MBS Board Meeting, Annual Dinner, or more!
