Madison Blues Society (MBS) produces annual calendars to provide blues fans a daily “nugget of the blues” to start their day… MBS actively seeks to enhance awareness and enthusiasm for blues music, musicians and Madison scene’s rapidly evolving landscape of venues. These high quality products have been popular items that sell out quickly. The calendar may be published again in 2026, stay tuned!
2022 Blues Calendar Features Local Performers
The MBS 2022 Blues Calendar features over 15 Madison area musicians!
Featuring local artists who have practiced their craft in the Madison area for years, each biographical sketch is paired with historical blues artists’ special dates.
2023 Blues Calendar Features Local Venues
For 2023, the MBS Blues Calendar features great venues, past and present, that brought great blues to the Madison area. Many of us have a favorite club and remember places we used to go. This year’s calendar takes you on a tour of clubs around town that host blues shows and also some of the great venues of the past.
Some featured venues include: The Knuckledown Saloon, now The Red Rooster, Luther’s Blues, The Harmony Bar, O’ Cayz Corral, North Street Cabaret, Club De Wash and more!
We’re giving thanks to folks who pitched in on this project and remembering Dan Schilling who passed this year.
Madison Blues Society is a group of local blues fans whose mission is to generate enthusiasm for blues music and musicians, while featuring local artists and venues. Proceeds from annual calendar sales are reinvested locally in order to support blues awareness throughout our area.
